If you aren't listening to it already, you should be

If you watched this year's Grammy's, you must've caught Dr. Dre's return to live TV after a decade, with his performance with Eminem and Skylar Grey.

The song, I Need a Doctor, Eminem's tribute to Dre as his creator, mentor and savior is powerful to say the least...but the video is explosive!!

The floating "holy" presence is played by model, actress and former synchronized swimmer Estella Warren. Skylar Grey plays one of the doctors.
To say it's good to have Dr. Dre back is an understatment...it's awesome!!! His return means the return of some good music!! 'Kush' with Dre, Akon and Snoop Dogg is a testament to that and with this track it's signed, sealed and delivered!

Meet Mr. P

Several years ago when online shopping was not the order of the day and the notable websites were far but few, I stumbled upon net-a-porter.com.
The experience was much like when SJP opened the door to her walk in wardrobe that Big customizes for her in Sex and the City. It was a Wow! moment. Browsing through this luxury retail site is a designer shopping experience! This revolutionary concept, which spawned many of its kind sites, was launched by Natalie Massenet in 2000.
The site brings you the A-Z in women’s wear and accessories, it houses over 200 designer brands, has a fashion editorial and is kind of a force to reckon with.

In 2009, net-a-porter’s discounted counterpart, The Outnet was launched. The venture, with Vogue’s Stephanie Phair at the helm, proved equally successful. Who doesn’t love a good discount especially when its designer!!
With the growing demand for designer duds and when the section of men who’ve become players in the style game has widened, it was only a matter of time before the Net-a-porter team cashed in on being the one stop shop for the dapper dudes…so gentlemen meet Mr. Porter.com.
This new venture houses about 80 designer brands for men and it’s not just a shopping experience that the site offers, it dishes out style advice as well.
You can tell that the site caters to a man of style.. it is sharp, sleek and well designed.
It is a swankier version of the women’s site with better style bites.
From a motorcycle designer to a Maitre D, the site’s ‘Men of the Moment’ feature talks style with “eight inspirational guys” making a mark in their professions. The site has a style essential section, a style glossary….everything a guys needs to know on how to stay stylish!

Bibhu Mohapatra

He calls Waris Ahluwalia and Prabal Gurung his friends and retails at Bergdof Goodman...You’d think that a guy from India who won a scholarship to study Economics in the States would pursue a career in that field, but not Bibhu Mohapatra.... after earning a Masters Degree in Economics in Utah, he moved to NYC to enroll in F.I.T and is now one of New York’s super successful designers.

The designer in a recent interview said that he likes spending time in cemeteries because he loves reading the inscriptions on the gravestones. Well, this inherent dark side of his is very apparent in his cleverly crafted Fall 2011 collection which he previewed recently at the Lincoln Center. The collection drew inspiration from Arthur Miller's, The Crucible, which is a dramatization of the Salem witch trials. The inspired darkness that ensued is personified with touches of crow feathers, lace, silk, leather and fur.
Rather than having the models walk down a runway, the designer had them up on a central platform with some models sitting while the others stood. Periodically, the ones standing would sit down and vice versa. While the color palette stayed with deep luxuriant shades and dark patterns, the clothes had an unusual constructed liquidity about them.
For a day look, there were deep-hued blouses paired with fur and leather separates.
The evening gowns were beautifully crafted, again in rich luxurious hues.
To add to the drama, the khol-eyed models donned raven-feather chokers and leather gloves on one hand.
According to the designer, the collection is about the conflict of extreme opposites like good versus evil, dark versus light.

To trace the roots of his brilliance as a designer, you have to know that while he was still at F.I.T, Bibhu Mohapatra, was awarded Fashion Institute of Technology's Critic’s Award for Best Evening Wear Designer of the Year. Last year he was elected a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).
At the onset of his career, the designer had worked with iconic American brand Halston as an assistant designer and then spent a ten year stint as Design Director honing his skills creating Oscar-worthy gowns for J. Mendel under Gilles Mendel.

Kim K and Belle Noel

After her stint with Bebe, Kim K decided to go the Nicole Richie way…jewelry. So she teamed up with jewelry designer Pascal Mouwad to create a line of statement jewelry that reflects her personal style and is inspired by the likes of Sophia Loren, Vivian Leigh and Lauren Hutton.

The line, which is called Belle Noel, has a very eastern influence but has some edgy pieces…it’s pretty cool.

Style Profile- Rachel Bilson

According to Revolve Clothing, my style profile is Casual Chic….I think that’s apt and it’s not hard to guess why I gravitate towards people who have similar style profiles….like Rachel Bilson. I think she’s a poster child for casual chic….she has that casual air of having thrown something on and still looking stylish.
After playing the chirpy Summer to the broody Marissa Cooper on the O.C., which Gossip Girl began to channel but then went it’s own way, I don’t think Ms. Bilson has had many noteworthy roles but who cares….she’s got the style!
Disheveled hair, a labeled handbag here and a pair of shorts there….she’s in style!!
Whether it be red-carpet dos or running errands…Ms. Bilson seems to always get it right.

Burberry Spring/Summer 2011

Don’t you love how Burberry under Christopher Bailey’s direction has taken a whole new turn….it’s sexy, edgy and a whole lot more chic.

The iconic British luxury brand was founded in 1856 by a tailor’s apprentice, Thomas Burberry. From outfitting the first explorers to reach the South Pole in 1914 to WWI soldiers fighting in the trenches (hence the term trench coat), the house also dressed Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
In many ways the brand has remained true to its roots in that it’s still associated with the trench and nobody can do a trench like Burberry.
For a long time Burberry= ubiquitous trademark check pattern, which is why with Christopher Bailey at the helm it’s refreshing to see a campaign which is identifiably Burberry without the trademark check pattern. The campaign and the clothes are edgy yet opulent, it has all the trappings of luxury but isn’t screaming it.

The 2011 Spring/Summer campaign is set to roll out with a new face every month. To embody the spirit of Burberry and stay true to its roots, the campaign will feature British talent “embodying the different attitudes of the Burberry guy and girl. “
The January campaign was rolled out with British models Cara Delevingne and Jacob Young, the February campaign features Jourdan Dunn and Sacha M’Baye.
